We've answered your most
frequently asked questions:

  • You're most welcome to visit them in their own room, in one of our communal areas or in our delightful garden, weather permitting.

  • This is an area we do not get involved in, but we can guide you as to where you can get further advice.

  • Yes, by all means. The residents always love to see them. However, we please ask that you do not bring them in if they show any signs of illness or if you are aware they are unwell. Some of our residents can be vulnerable even to coughs and colds.

  • Yes, she visits weekly. We also have a chiropodist and an Optician who come to the home.

  • We launder all clothing. All we ask is that you clearly label all clothing and it be machine washable.

  • We have our own ‘In House’ doctor who runs a regular weekly surgery within the home. A duty doctor or District Nurse will also visit if required in between times.

  • Yes, we do go out, and on occasions, family members join us. Also, on warm sunny days, our residents often go outside to enjoy our lovely garden!

  • Yes, we have a good variety of entertainment every week. You are also most welcome to come along!

  • You may either park in the car park in front of our building, or in some side roads nearby, or in a public car park, a very short walk away.

  • This is worked out based on a range of individual circumstances, including the room type and dependency requirements.

​What’s included in your stay at Quarry Mount?

  • All meals, including snacks, tea, coffee, and soft drinks, are served in-house during the day and at night if needed. Special dietary requirements can also be accommodated. Please ask for details.

  • Wet Wipes - For assistance at mealtimes

  • Eating Utensils - Specialist eating & drinking vessels, and clothing protection if required (unless exceptionally expensive – please discuss any special requirements with us)

  • Bedding - All bedding, towels & flannels

  • Laundry - All clothing and bedding laundered on the premises (No dry cleaning)

  • Incontinence Pads - supplied by continence services

  • Birthdays/Celebrations - Birthday & celebration cakes (we love celebrations) - Anniversary, Easter, Christmas, etc.

  • Nail Care - General manicure products, including some stock nail varnishes

  • Homely Medicines - (non prescription) general medicines & first aid supplies (If you require to know precisely what is included, please ask at the home)

  • Bathrooms - Toilet paper for all toilets plus Anti Bac spray, soap & paper hand towels in the general communal areas

  • Cleaning Products - General Cleaning supplies throughout private and communal areas

  • Activity Provisions - such as crafts and general items for this area

  • Outings - Some outings may occasionally be included and not charged for

  • Mobility Equipment - General mobility/handling equipment
