Quarry Mount Care Home in Swindon have an opportunity available to recruit an experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated Maintenance Coordinator to join our team.

A suitable candidate will provide our general maintenance services for our premises and grounds.

You will need to hold a full driving licence and demonstrate to us you have a good understanding, knowledge and experience for a wide range of skills required in this area.

We will provide full induction, including necessary mandatory training, such as Health & Safety etc.

Your key responsibilities as our Maintenance Coordinator will include:

  • Routine maintenance duties:
  • small repairs 
  • carpentry 
  • small plumbing and equipment repairs
  • Carrying out external low level works.
  • Keep logs of temperatures etc to boiler flow rates under ACOPS legionella legislation.
  • Check boiler rooms daily.
  • Take meter readings as required.
  • Inspect and maintain all internal and external public areas.
  • Clear blocked drains.
  • Oversee and work with external contractors that may undertake work within the residence.
  • Care for equipment and tools belonging to the residence.
  • Prioritise work orders and any other duties requested from the Director and Manager/s

You will :
Assist management with day to day office duties some of which include:

  • Answering the telephone, making calls
  • Booking and organising training
  • Placing orders
  • Sending and answering emails
  • Arranging and booking resident visits
  • General administration duties
  • Using Microsoft office, Work and Excel as well as our own database software
