Dining Facilities

The daily programme is organised as a response to residents' individual and combined needs, and to allow the care staff to provide regular therapy sessions.

The home offers good and varied home-cooked food, including delicious baking and can cater for special diets. Meal times are flexible, and residents can arrange to have their meals in their own rooms or in the dining areas.

Dining Facilities

The home's house doctor runs a weekly surgery, usually on Wednesdays, and most residents have her as their G.P. District nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, chiropodists, opticians, etc. visit as and when required. Residents may be taken out for local dentist or hospital appointments. A hairdresser visits weekly and there are visiting clergy.

The home enjoys the facility of the local mobile library service together with its own collection of large print titles, pre-recorded video tapes and "speaking " books.

Quality Issues

We have a “Service Quality Committee” comprised of residents and relatives that meets every few months to discuss any ideas for improving the quality of the services provided.
We conduct annual quality assurance surveys to get the views of residents and relatives about the services that we provide.
